What this tool is — and is not

This tool helps you, the person posting, decide what to disclose. It does not replace the provider duty to add machine-readable labels (EU AI Act Article 50(2), transition deadline 02/12/2026) — that is a backend job, not part of this tool. It does not edit your image or video, add a watermark or metadata, call a platform, or post for you. It makes no statement about whether data is used for training.

EU AI Act transparency duties apply from 02/08/2026, with Commission guidance dated 20/07/2026. YouTube has auto-labelled photorealistic AI content when the creator did not declare it since 27/05/2026; the label itself does not lower recommendation or monetisation — the money risk sits in the mass-produced template-content policy. TikTok and Meta read C2PA Content Credentials signals (C2PA 2.4 added an AI declaration field in 04/2026) and label on their own; undeclared AI ads on TikTok can be rejected or restricted.

Full rule table with one source per rule: assets/next2-03-disclosure-rules.json (checked 2026-10-30). If today is more than 90 days after that date, the tool shows a warning instead of a firm conclusion.
