Frequently asked questions

1. Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Everything happens in your browser with canvas: the photo is read, resized and downloaded on your device. You can check the browser network tab: there is no upload.

2. What is the difference between Fit and Fill?

Fit keeps the whole photo and fills the empty space with pure white (#FFFFFF). Fill crops the photo in the middle until it exactly covers the target, with no white bars. For an Amazon main image, use Fit with the Amazon preset.

3. Which size do I use for each marketplace?

Shopee 1024×1024 (1:1), Amazon 2000×2000 on white, Etsy 2000×1600, TikTok Shop 800×800 (1:1), Instagram 1080×1350 (4:5) and Mercado Libre 1200×1200. Rules change: check the live upload screen before a big batch.

4. Why did the file come out bigger than the original?

Because enlarging a small photo adds no detail: a small PNG enlarged to 2000 px weighs more. Lower the quality, pick JPG, or use a smaller preset. The page shows the saving (or the increase) for every photo.

5. Can I remove the background with this tool?

No. This tool only resizes and compresses. To remove a background or put a product on pure white, use the Movapix app: about $0.008 per image.
