AI book cover concepts: explore 50 directions for $0.40

A cover designer charges $300 or more, and briefing one without knowing your direction wastes both budgets. With Movapix you explore fifty cover concepts for about $0.40 — then hand your designer a direction instead of a blank page. No subscription, and you pay only when a generation succeeds.

What exploring directions costs

Fifty concepts at $0.008 each cost about $0.40. Ten finalists refined twice more add about $0.16. The whole exploration costs less than a dollar before bonuses — then you spend the real budget once, on a designer, with a direction you have already seen working.

How to explore cover directions in three steps

Step 1 — prompt the genre and the mood, never the title. Name the setting, the palette and the style at the 2:3 book ratio. Copy a prompt and swap in your story:

Cozy mystery, 2:3A cozy mystery book cover illustration of a small bookshop at night with a cat silhouette in the glowing window, deep green and gold palette, flat painterly style, no people, no text
Science fiction, 2:3A science-fiction book cover illustration of a lone astronaut facing a ringed planet over a desert horizon, purple and orange palette, cinematic matte painting, no text
Romance, 2:3A romance book cover illustration of two coffee cups on a rainy cafe window ledge with blurred city lights behind, blush pink and cream palette, soft painterly style, no people, no text

Step 2 — keep every word out of the image: AI misspells titles, and your typography is half the cover — typeset the title and author name afterwards in your design tool. Step 3 — pick three finalists, refine each twice, and hand the winner to a designer for the finished cover.

Before you brief the designer

Honest limits, before you pay anything

  • AI concepts are starting points for exploration, not finished print-ready covers. Check the final artwork at full size, verify nothing resembles an existing cover’s distinctive trade dress, and let a designer finish the winner.
  • International top-ups are USDT only (TRC20 or BEP20, from 2 USDT). Card and PayPal are not available yet.
  • Creations are private by default: no public feed, and your work joins the showcase only with your agreement.
  • Credits never expire and are deducted only on success. An unused wallet balance can be refunded within 7 days of topping up.
  • Questions first? Email [email protected] — a person reads it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I publish an AI-generated cover commercially?

Yes. Download at full resolution and use your creations as cover art and in marketing, as long as they follow the law, our content rules and the Terms of Service.

Why keep the title out of the generated image?

AI models misspell words and invent letterforms, especially at small sizes. Typeset the title and author name afterwards in your design tool, where every letter is exact.

How much does exploring 50 concepts cost?

About $0.40: fifty images at roughly $0.008 each, before bonus credits. Refining ten finalists twice more adds about $0.16, and failed generations cost nothing.

Will my cover look like everyone else's?

Not if you treat concepts as starting points. Explore widely, pick a direction, then refine it — or hand it to a designer — so the finished cover is yours.

Do my credits expire while I finish writing the book?

No. Credits stay in your account until you use them, with no monthly plan and no end-of-month reset — explore covers now, use the rest after the manuscript is done.
