Amazon A+ content images with AI: module sizes and a fast workflow
A+ Content is the part of an Amazon listing where a brand-registered seller stops competing on title and bullets alone and starts showing the product. The catch is that A+ is not one canvas. Every module expects its own image size, and an image built for a header will be cropped, stretched or rejected in a three-image module. This article gives you the standard module sizes that multiple 2026 guides agree on, the text and content rules that cause rejections, and a fast workflow that builds a complete A+ page from one product master, without repeating the listing copy word for word. One warning first, and it applies to every number below: the A+ builder in Seller Central shows the exact size for each module when you add it, and that display is the authoritative source. Amazon revises module specs without announcement, so use this table to plan, then confirm in the builder before you export finals.
Who can use A+ and what it is for
Standard A+ Content is free for sellers enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry, which requires a registered, live trademark. Premium A+ unlocks larger modules, carousels, hover hotspots and video, and is free once a brand has five approved Standard A+ submissions in the trailing twelve months, under the current eligibility rule. A+ replaces the plain product description with rich modules below the listing, so its job is different from the main image and the gallery above it. The gallery proves what the product is. A+ proves why it is worth choosing: how it is built, how it is used, what it is made of, and how it compares with the rest of your own range. It must not repeat the bullets, must not name competitors, and must not carry pricing, shipping claims, warranty terms or promotional language such as a discount or a limited offer. Put copy in the module text fields in Seller Central, not burned into the images, so it stays readable on mobile and searchable.
That division of labour decides your image plan. The main image, covered in our companion article, must be pure white with about 85 percent fill and no text. A+ images, by contrast, are allowed lifestyle scenes, backgrounds and context, as long as they show the real product accurately. The most common beginner mistake is to reuse the gallery as the A+ page: same hero, same lifestyle shot, same close-up, in a different order. A shopper who has already seen those images learns nothing, and the A+ page earns no extra scroll. Build A+ images for questions the gallery has not answered yet.

Standard module sizes, the planning table
| Module | Image size in pixels | Job of the image |
|---|---|---|
| Company logo | 600 by 180 | Brand mark at the top of the page, clean and legible |
| Image header with text | 970 by 600 | Full-width opening scene, the brand promise in one image |
| Image with light or dark text overlay | 970 by 300 | Wide banner with a short headline in the text field, not in the image |
| Single image and sidebar | 300 by 400 main, 350 by 175 sidebar | One product shot plus a supporting detail |
| Three images and text | 300 by 300 each | Three features, one image and one short text block each |
| Four images and text | 220 by 220 each | Four small proof points, grid layout |
| Comparison chart | 150 by 300 per product column | Your own range side by side, same lighting, same scale |
| Premium full-width image | 1464 by 600 desktop, 600 by 450 mobile where required | Wider Premium hero, with a separate mobile asset for some modules |
Generate at or above the module size, in RGB colour, JPEG or PNG, and keep each A+ image under about 2 megabytes, which is the file guidance most 2026 guides report for A+ uploads. Do not upscale a small image to 970 by 600 and hope the builder forgives it: text in the image will blur, edges will soften, and a shopper on a phone will see the blur before they read the benefit. Generate the header at its wide ratio, generate the squares as squares, and never crop a wide header into a 300 by 300 square after the fact, because the crop will cut the product or the context that made the header work. One product master, many ratios, generated deliberately, is faster than one ratio repaired five times.
Wide photorealistic lifestyle photograph of [YOUR PRODUCT] in use in a bright modern home, product clearly visible in the centre, warm natural light, calm scene, no text, no logos, no price claims, space on the left for headline text added later in Seller CentralPhotorealistic square close-up photograph of [YOUR PRODUCT] showing one feature only, its material, cap, handle or stitching, in sharp detail, clean neutral background, soft studio light, true colour, no textTall photorealistic studio photograph of [YOUR PRODUCT] centred on a plain light background, full product visible, soft even light, same framing and lighting as the other products in the comparison, no textA fast workflow: master, five modules, one review pass
Step one, write the product master and the five questions A+ must answer, in order: what is it, what is it made of, how is it used, what makes it different, and which variant should I pick. Step two, generate one image per question, at the module ratio for that question: header for what it is, three squares for material, use and difference, and comparison columns for variant choice. Step three, write module text in Seller Central, short and factual, 280 to 350 characters per evidence-style module is a useful target from 2026 guides, and never a copy of the bullets. Step four, the review pass: open the draft on a phone, check that no image repeats the gallery, no text is burned into an image, no competitor is named, and no claim appears that the listing does not support. Step five, submit and wait for approval before announcing the page anywhere, because a rejected module can hold the whole page.
For a catalogue, batch by module, not by product. Generate all headers in one session, all squares in the next, and all comparison columns last, with the same lighting words and the same background words across products in a comparison. That discipline is what makes a comparison chart believable: if one product is shot in warm evening light and another in cold studio light, the chart reads as two different brands. Build the page in the product studio, check every size in the marketplace photo specs tool, and check any image with a photorealistic person against the AI disclosure guide before upload. The small-shop photo guide and the remove-background guide show the same master-first method for single images.
Honest limits
- Module sizes above are a planning reference from multiple 2026 guides, not a substitute for the A+ builder. Amazon revises specs without announcement, and Premium modules may need separate mobile assets. Confirm every size in Seller Central before exporting finals.
- A+ images must depict the exact product you ship. AI scenes around a real product are different from a generated product, and the second kind does not belong in a listing.
- In Movapix, images cost about $0.008 per successful generation, with no subscription. Credits never expire, and an unused wallet balance can be refunded within 7 days. Commercial use is allowed, and images are private by default.
